The Education and the Community service departments have been making great strides at Ambassador. This summer the departments has implemented several initiatives that yielded great results. The departments along with several volunteers from the church have been busy teaching and learning. This summer is not yet over but just look at the amazing numbers for the programs they have been involved with:
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistants) - 25 registered students along with 8 teachers meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays 6-8pm. Students will also received tips on resume writing and interviewing skills from Pastor Henoc Paulicin.
Summer Tutoring program - K - 6th Grade. The tutoring program focuses on Reading Comprehension and Elementary Math. The program currently has 32 registered students and 26 tutors. These students have been truly receiving one and one guidance.
12 participants attended a free adult literacy training program where they received basic guidance in being mentors to the adult community. The participants will become certified in 6 months as Adult Literacy Trainers.
CPR class will also be offered on Monday and Thursdays from 6-8pm; July 9-12. For more information on these programs please contact Sister Sandra Daley.
